The countdown is on...

It is official...only 27 days until Bellito's big arrival...24 days left of work... and this is if we make it all the way to there. How am I feeling???? Actually, great!

I am amazed at how different everything is this time around. My energy level, ability to move, low riding belly are all SO completely different from Molly! I have been so swamped at work that I have completely lost count of the days...until my showers today...that is right showers as in two. The first was the actual scrubbing of my hair this morning when I realized that we had reached the less than a month mark! This is a little bit of what I looked like...

"I think my look was a little bit more of a shock but it was the best that I could find..."

My second shower was a baby shower at Our Children's House. It was amazing! I work with such incredible people who I just love so much! It is so nice to really care about the people that you work with!

We had great food...

The yummiest Casa Linda Cake!!! The coolest people... And some amazing gifts!

Now Bellito has clothes to wear...

Blankets to snuggle in...

Lots of bouncing action to come for those kicking little legs and much more....

I can't believe that there is no picture of the amazing hostesses!!! Tracey, Emily, Sarah, Taylor, Patricia and Monique...you are all such incredible people! Thank you for planning such a fantastic celebration!!!

Now that we have all this great gear...we are feeling a little bit more prepared...especially since we have decided to stay at our home through the baby's birth (I almost moved us last weekend but that is a post all to itself...) I can wait to move until March.

Don't we just look like more relaxed parents?

Even Molly is almost ready... she has been practicing pushing her baby in the stroller outside... she's ready for some walking with the new baby!

So we are definitely in the home stretch... as soon as my doctor's office quits cancelling my appointments I will be able to provide more of the exciting updates regarding our big day!

My little big girl...

Well, I am embracing it...I have a toddler. Officially. I mean, I guess it was official when she began to toddle and all but still...it is now official to me. My little girl no longer sleeps in a baby bed. Oh no, she has upgraded to big girl bed! Here is a little walk through of today's adventures...
To Molly the ideal morning starts with a little make-over!

Why wear your own clothes when there are Daddy shirts available?

Hooray for new big girl sheets!!! New sheets = New box to play in!!!

Finally, a new look at a big girl room...
Just perfect for a tired big girl...

A very tired big girl...

Please say a little prayer that our Molly doesn't nose dive off her new bed tonight to the floor...It just might be a little bit of a long night! Updates to follow!!!

Sesame Street Smiles

Seriously! How could you not love these two people?!?! Nothing like rocking out to your favorite Sesame Street Sing-A-Long with Daddy! Molly LOVES her movie so much...as seen by her singing at the top of her lungs to En Vogue's "Adventure" and quacking to "Rubber Ducky". Take that all you pop new TV shows...my daughter prefers it a little old school.

Who doesn't love Sesame Street? Please know, that you are always welcome to dance and sing along on the May family couch!

The picture was just too cute not to share!

Some much needed girl time!

Last weekend was a fantastic break for me! I am amazed to think about easy it is to forget that you are growing older. However, to see your 1988 date skate buddy, lovely lasso and college roomies transformed into mommies, wives, professionals and world travelers- you begin to realize just how much older you are! How wonderful it is to have these same friends support each other through our new phases in life!

The girls minus Mrs. Brady who was GREATLY missed!

At our girl's weekend it was part baby shower, part Merry Christmas, party Happy New Year and part just-because time! Hadley, Angela, Misty and Millie were definitely fantastic hostesses! Now, if only we could find a way to all live in the same city once again...

How sad is it that I already miss these amazing women and I just saw them!!!

Baby Day

Today was another baby day at Dr. Hays! Hooray!!! I like these appointments because we are not doing any "checks" yet. Those appointments become a little more stressful and always result in a stop at burger house for a chocolate milkshake on the way home. Do you think that Burger house might make me a low carb chocolate milkshake if I ask nicely?

"Bellito is growing great!" per our OB. This makes me so happy to hear! The heart rate was a wonderful 140 bpm. Kelly informed me that I no longer can say that I have a bump...I have upgraded to planet. I like to think that I am a Pluto size planet although I know in my heart I just might be borderline Jupiter sized...

I no longer look at the scale when at weigh in time...really, why do I need to know... I do know that I have not gained in a pound in the past two visits. This means I am due for a growth spurt any day... Next appointment, I won't be surprised if I see a gain of like 4 pounds. My body has a tendency to grow in big increments all at once! It really does great things for my self esteem! :) Even though you know that you are creating this amazing little person...you still feel a little nervous about the stretching and changes to your former self!

Tomorrow morning I am driving with my friend Christy for a slumber party with my best friends in Austin! I can't wait! Since I am sort of not mentioning to my doctor of my travels perhaps we should all pray for no freakishly early labor...I really would not like to have to explain that one to Dr. Hays! I can't wait for some best friend time!!! It is LONG OVERDUE! Molly and Daddy are going to have their own fun in Dallas! I will post pictures from Austin some time this week...

How could it be a quality post without at least one picture of our Molly Monster...
