The Letter B
B is for... Bed Bug.
Seriously, look at this girl! This is probably my favorite thing about being a little kid. You can sleep everywhere...even upside down and under the covers! Soak it up now Molly because once you have to share a bed with someone they no longer embrace diagonal sleeping.
B is for... Baby land. Today was a new first to me. I watched my two children and my sister's 7 month old all day! Three kiddos under the age of two. It was BUSY but amazingly, really fun! I have to be honest- I was thinking I might be in a little over my head but everyone napped, ate, played and made it through the day! I thought it would be a baby deterrent but now... JUST KIDDING!
And finally B is for... BRAVERY.
now, there is no picture for this part because there was NO TIME and i was too busy being brave to think about it. For those of you that don't know this, sometime in my adult life I have developed this deathly fear of wasps and the sort. I mean, it is really sad. Never afflicted with this before college. hmm. Anyways, my typical reaction with a Wasp or Bee is to just run the other direction screaming at a level that only dogs can register. But not today. You see, being a mom has made me a little brave. Before when a vicious wasp flew in the house I would have moved. But not today. The two smallest were napping. I tricked Molly into thinking there was a surprise in her room. And I did it! I was going to smash the evil creature with my New Balance shoe but because of the angle and size of the wasp I began to envision everything that could happen if I missed. So, I created a master plan. Open the front door. Stand across the room and lift the blinds at the wasp poised on the window next to the front door. Throw a baby bottle at the window to get its attention. Have it chase me around the living room and out the front door. May sound a little silly. But it worked. So there, I was brave so that a nasty mean bug would leave my children alone. Hooray for being a mom ... it is the B-EST.

Good Ole San Antone'
The crew made it about 3.5 hours before we needed to stop. Molly was getting a little squirmy and Gabe needed to be fed. In true adventure style Kelly stopped us at the dirtiest gas station ever for a quick change. Gabe didn't mind! (At this point Molly is outside the car doing squats for exercise)
This weekend was not only ramped with fun but also a bit refreshing! It is always nice to sneak in some naps when you can...
I do think that the wash cloth on the face picture of Gabe is pretty funny but not nearly as funny as his Saturday night sleep in a laundry basket! I am SO bummed that I didn't capture this my camera. He was the cutest little laundry bundle ever!
Saturday all day was play time with the Figueroa Family! Molly spent some time with the boys playing Guitar Hero...
I was SO excited because I got to use my new stroller for the second time ever! This is my favorite brand new purchase! I hated my double stroller before because it was a little bit larger in life! This is perfect for us! Look how cute and excited they are!
It was our first visit to the pool this summer... WE WERE READY!
Shield your eyes!!! It is the two whitest people ever!!!
On Sunday, we spent the whole day with the Miller side of the family! We had a BLAST!
Kelly's aunt and uncle live in this beautiful neighborhood overlooking the hill country. All these deer just come up to sleep and eat in the front yards! The kids loved it!!!It was a weekend of fun! Plenty of visits with friends and family! Who could ask for more?
Happy Memorial Day!

Summer Lovin'
We've been spending time on back porch swings... (Mommy is trying to take this picture while drinking her summer margarita ;0)
Catching some shade wherever you can...
Nothing quite cools you off like the good ole' sprinkler...
And it summertime fun wouldn't be fun at all without some poolside lounging...
that and of course choosing to stay in the air conditioning and have a little jam session.
Trying to stay positive about all this yucky heat and gas prices! Yikes! We are driving to San Antonio tomorrow ...it will be Gabe's first trip...little does he know that the money for gas is coming out of his college fund.
Happy Memorial Weekend!

Fans through the "hairy" times
It is rally time for our beloved Dallas Stars and their underdog dash for the Stanley Cup. You see, it is this time every year that my allegiance to the Stars is put to the test- Hairy/Scary/Victory or Soft/Refreshing/Loss. And as always, I continue on with my dream for the cup...and much to my chagrin...scratchy smooches.
Go Stars!

Rain Rain - GO AWAY!
R - really makes it hard to play outside...especially the thunder/lightening. This directly results in the May crew feeling a little bit couped up!
A - against my better judgement, I allow for us to invent "special art projects" while indoors which usually result in a SUPER huge MESS. But I have to entertain the troops somehow!
I - Inside all day = my already energetic almost- two- year- old has so much bounce to her step that the house shakes when she walks!
N - not going outside the house means limited adult/other human interaction for Mommy. For example... tonight I actually said: "No Milo (the cat), you can not have your food until night-night time". That is right. I am babytalking the cat. YiKeS.
I vote for Monday again (WHICH IS RARE) but I sure did like all the sunshine and flowers. Spring without many rainy days - I heart you.

Mays on the move! -beware...lots o' pictures
We have been on the move...
With some quality time in the car...
We have had all kinds of art and craft sessions...to be expected when your mommy is a child life specialist...
Just catching up on some good chatter...
sitting in our sidewalk chalk sailboat...
Of course...we haven't had our fun with only May kids...we also had some quality time with cousins...
And then of course we just chilled...
Last night we went to Taste of Addison...one of my favorite events ever! We had so much fun! The next few pictures are a dedication to Gabriel at Taste. I think that as the second child and the mellow child he is often forgotten in pictures. As a second mellow child myself...I understand. So Gabe, this is for you. Our happy boy enjoying the music...and daddy...
and to visit with the locals...
the two littlest cousins plotted...
while Molly got some lovin' from her Godmother Maxey...
It was truly a night to remember! So today was Mother's Day...such a special day! Kelly and the kids made me feel so special. We spent the morning dancing and eating pancakes! Two of my favorite things in the world. Molly and Kelly danced in their hat decor...
notice the Stanley cup beard? It is back.
How much fun I have had spending time with my family! Especially today on such a special day for us moms! I have to tell you... how could your morning not be perfect when you wake up to some presents in bed...
and yes...Molly is eating chocolate at 7:45 AM...don't judge. :)
