Taking Over

 ...
I am starting to see that there are some huge benefits to being up at all hours of the night. Night people catch all the big stuff. Well, minus the fact that you are so tired and might miss some key details.

Case in point. I watched the Kate and Wills wedding live. Easy breezy... I was up anyways and Lucy really wanted to see Kate's dress. Tonight, I saw one very important presidential speech and a few of the crazy interviews to follow. I will sleep tonight knowing that we are that much closer to living peacefully with our neighbors.

I discover so many truths at night.

While attempting to sneak in a bath VERY late last night (it was highly necessary), I came to yet another realization. In a balance of kids vs. parents we are outnumbered. I knew this. Looking around MY bathroom, I now know--- that in addition to being outnumbered--- they are taking over.

Nothing quite says, "hello me time" like a bath tub full of My Little Ponies.

And that inspirational quote on my bathroom mirror? Oh yes, it is now accompanied by an Austin fire department sticker. Thanks, Gabe. I am just impressed that he didn't cover up my quote. Or eat it. It seems he is a force to be reckoned with these days.

And that pile of candy wrappers shamefully eaten and left on the bathroom counter? Oh wait.

I think it is safe to say that we are fully emerged in kid land.

Thank goodness.
